Supporting Entrepreneurs with Ambition in the Northwest
The High Growth programme was a three year business coaching initiative aimed at ‘high growth’ businesses and entrepreneurs. It supported budding entrepreneurs with ideas who could achieve a turnover of £500,000 within three years, and established SME’s with ambition and capacity to expand by at least 20 per cent a year.
It was led by the North West Development Agency with additional funding from the EU. Over 3 years it generated 2,500 jobs and provide a £250m boost to the region’s economy.

A LEGACY FROM THE PROGRAMME
Over 1,700 businesses in the Region over the past two years have benefited from coaching support delivered by Winning Pitch on the High Growth Programme.
The North West High Growth Programme has been widely recognised as having had a profound impact on the performance of companies with a desire to achieve sustainable growth.
Based on the need for ongoing assistance, Winning Pitch along with its network of specialist advisers are launching the North West High Growth Foundation - a channeled source of advice and tailored coaching for growth hungry companies. It will provide a forum and resource where ambitious entrepreneurs can meet ambitious individuals and a valuable resource in gaining insights on how to build a successful business.
