Our Managing Director, John Illingworth, has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over twenty five years, initially at ICI (now AstraZeneca) and subsequently at Serono. He became a freelance Clinical Research Manager in 1996 and founded Clinical Development and Support Services Ltd (CDSS) in 1998.

Since then CDSS has expanded into a flexible, friendly and professional clinical research organisation offering a wide range of clinical development services to the biotechnology, medical device and pharmaceutical industries. CDSS comprises the team at Head Office in Cheshire, England and a team of field-based staff of varying backgrounds (nursing and scientific). We deal with all phases of clinical development from first administration to man through to post-marketing studies.

We are also able to train client staff in many clinical development areas.

Having worked with clients ranging from small start-up biotechnology companies to large international pharmaceutical companies, CDSS recognises the individual requirements of our clients.
